Cascade Hops & The Kids

Ellen and Andrew having fun in the grass next to the newly planted cascade hops. During the last Ballast Point event I purchased a hop rhizome and Ellen helped me plant it the other day. It might be some time but the thought of brewing with homegrown cascade hops in the seasons to come is something I've always thought about.

Vacation

Everyday is a vacation for Ellen. E found our stash of cocktail umbrellas and swizzle sticks and decided to spruce up her morning smoothie.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

This past Sunday the family headed East to Victoria's Gardens Pumpkin Patch located in El Cajon.  The weather was a little wet with light sprinkles but nothing too severe to deter us.  After a chasing rabbits in the petting zoo, running through the hay maze and climbing the hay pyramid we finally picked a few pumpkins.  All in all a good day!

Kids Run the Bases

June 8th was the big annual event!  BT wasn't able to make it this year but Aunt Carin was on hand as well as the Martin Family.  Afterwards litte Curren and Ellen ran the bases following a dramatic come from behind victory over the New York Mets to complete a rare 4 game sweep.  It was a great day!

She Has Teeth!!!

You read that correctly! Ellen has cut her first two teeth on Day 163, which Mom keenly spotted earlier today! That's another step closer to eating bacon. In the meantime she is on the semi-solids. Some of her favorites are carrots, green beans, bananas and most recently pears. On the flip side she is not a fan of peas and applesauce surprisingly. It is still early though. Out on the town.

Ellen had her first evening out on the town and it was a memorable one. She met so many of her friends for the first time including Claire King pictured below. Claire is now just 2 months old and has already grown so much. Also in attendance was Victor Garber (not pictured), Ellen's first celebrity siting on just her first venture on the town.
