Jack and Jen's Wedding

Saturday night the Crain family headed out to the wedding of our good friends Jack and Jen.  It was an intimate wedding held in the home of Jen's parents in Encinitas.  It turned out to be a perfect evening and Ellen had a great excuse to wear her new dress that Kelly had brought her just weeks earlier.  More pictures can be seen here.

Papa and Grandma's May Visit

At the end of May Papa and Grandma made a visit to San Diego.  In the brief time they were here we managed to cram the zoo and children's museum into their visit.  It was a lot of fun and Ellen enjoyed it all especially the part when she got to feed the giraffes!

Kids Run the Bases

June 8th was the big annual event!  BT wasn't able to make it this year but Aunt Carin was on hand as well as the Martin Family.  Afterwards litte Curren and Ellen ran the bases following a dramatic come from behind victory over the New York Mets to complete a rare 4 game sweep.  It was a great day!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day 2008 has come and went! Happy Mother's Day to all of you out there, you know who you are.  As for our day we started off at Cafe Chloe with a nice breakfast and then headed to the New Children's Museum where Ellen had a blast!! I think her favorite was the "pillow fight room" which was wall to wall mattresses and numerous tire shaped pillows for kids to play in and on.  You can see all the pictures from our time at the museum here.

DADD-DEE

DADD-DEE, DADD-DEE!! Those are the words I here very often these days.  It is quite humorous and always brings a smile to my face.  This evening Ellen greeted met me outside the house as I got from work and quickly wanted my sunglasses.

Ellen Really Walks

OK, I know, its been awhile. Things really are busy lately in the Crain household. Kathleen was in New York for work for week and as usual I've been balancing work and class. Things will probably get worse before they get better but better should be coming early August. I'll try to make another post or two before then but for now enjoy this.

Ellen really began walking on a semi-regular basis just this weekend. Here is indisputable video evidence to confirm it. Enjoy!

Ellen Takes Her First Steps

The updates are few and far between but this clip will be one to remember.  After dinner and before her bath Ellen was feeling quite courageous stood unassisted and eventually took a few steps.  Enjoy!
