Ellen Eating Quickly

Ellen has really taken to eating solids quite well. Once you get a good rhythm going she can kill a bowl relatively quick. Here is video I captured while Ellen ate and talked while eating one of her favorites, carrots.

Hangin with Claire

Claire's parents were kind enough to invite the Crain Family over for dinner on Saturday night. Giving Ellen and Claire the opportunity to spend some quality time together. Claire entertained everyone with her giggles while Ellen took it all in like most of us. A great time was had by all and on the way home Ellen crashed hard. After we got home we slipped her into the crib following a little snack before bed and she went down without a whimper. Oh yeah, Ellen has been sleeping in her crib in her own room now since Friday. So far so good...

She Has Teeth!!!

You read that correctly! Ellen has cut her first two teeth on Day 163, which Mom keenly spotted earlier today! That's another step closer to eating bacon. In the meantime she is on the semi-solids. Some of her favorites are carrots, green beans, bananas and most recently pears. On the flip side she is not a fan of peas and applesauce surprisingly. It is still early though. Ellen's Hair

I often find myself wondering what Ellen's hair will look like once it fills in and she grows up. Will be it curly like her mother? Might it be bright blonde as was both her mother and father when we were younger? So far it is still to be determined. Until it does vote for your favorite hair style on Ellen! I personally like the "The Donald". Selections order from left to right in case you can't figure it out.

For those of you that did vote in our previous "Ellen's Nickname" poll the results are now in. I have to admit I was disappointed by the turnout. I know there is more of you out there than 11.

Ellen's Nicknames

I'm still working on getting those images and video clips up from the game on Sunday. In the meantime why don't you guys talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic.

UPDATE 6.19.07: This poll is closed the final results indicate that many of you prefer "Peanut" to any other nickname with "Nutters" and "P-Nizzle" getting only 2 votes each. Really only 1 vote for "Nutters" since Auntie Carin voted twice.




Feel free to make your own suggestions. If they're good maybe we'll work them into the rotation of nicknames.

Preview: Ellen and BT go to the Padre game

This weekend marks a milestone in the lives of Ellen and her cousin Bryan, AKA "BT", as it was their first Padre game!! I plan to post a blow by blow of the entire experience but in the interim here is a picture of the two after the game once we had returned home.

As a teaser for you fans of Ellen's World to keep you coming back. Ellen and BT ran the bases after the game, all of which Mommy caught on tape. Including Ellen touching home plate!! If only the Padres could have pushed Ellen and BT across the plate during the game the outcome would have been a little more satisfying. However, Ellen's smiles on the way home made Daddy quickly forget the loss. Go Padres!
