Flying solo

This week was Kathleen's first full week back at work and today was her Saturday as well. Which meant having Ellen and Andrew all by myself. I told Ellen last night she was going to have to help me. Thankfully she was some help and luckily she loves giving her little brother bottles.

It took a couple of them but we finally got the little guy down for a nap. Don't think we'll be making that trip to Costco. Might have had my expectations a little high.

Girl with a Pearl Earring

Ellen brings home many pieces of art and crafts from Miss Irma's on a daily basis.  Several weeks ago the focus was on various artists and their master pieces, including Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring.  Ellen brought home her own version which I thought was so great  I would share it with everyone!  FYI, the the pearl is actually a bean.

Andrew's First Day

I need to start posting more pictures before more time passes.  Until then here is a quick picture we took of Andrew's first day at Miss Irma's with all his new friends.

Andrew arrived sleepy and tired as you can see.  After we left he slept briefly and then went back down without too much fussing for a longer nap.  He then woke up hungry had a bottle flashed his smile and coo'd for everyone until Mom pick him up mid day.  All in all a successful first day!
