Andrew's 4 Month Appointment

Andrew had his 4 month check up with Dr. Sacker on Monday.  Everything went well and Dr Sacker gave the go ahead for solids.  We started with rice cereal the very next night and by the 3rd day he is mastering the art of eating from spoon quite well.  I remember Ellen being a much sloppier eater at this stage.  I suppose it could also be that both Ellen and us were rookies the first go around.

As for his statistics they are as follows.

• Height 25 inches
• Weight 12 lbs 8 oz

He's 70th percentile for height and 25th percentile for weight.  Which may be a tad low but he's up percentiles from his last check up.  Like his old man he's tall and lean already.  For comparison here is Ellen's post from her 4 month check up.  Finally, we've had great success with Andrew sleeping through the night the last couple evenings.  In fact he's sleeping better than Ellen thanks to fever, cough and cold Ellen has recently contracted.

Last night the little guy went down around 7:30 and he is still sleeping as I type this. I'm sure we'll have a few set backs going forward but this is a giant step!!
On a related topic Andrew had his 4 month well baby check up Monday. I'll post the results in the coming days. All is good!

Pumpkin Patch 2010

This past Sunday the family headed East to Victoria's Gardens Pumpkin Patch located in El Cajon.  The weather was a little wet with light sprinkles but nothing too severe to deter us.  After a chasing rabbits in the petting zoo, running through the hay maze and climbing the hay pyramid we finally picked a few pumpkins.  All in all a good day!

Holding Andrew

Ellen absolutely loves holding Andrew when she can.  Which always makes for a great photo opportunity. Here a few images over the last couple weeks of the the two of them together.

In case you are wondering, Yes Ellen recently got her hair cut as you can seen in the last pic.

Andrew's Maiden Voyage in Jumper

Andrew made his first venture in the jumper at the end of September. He didn't love it but he didn't hate it as much as Ellen did the first time.
